The design brief was for flexibility in uncertain times. The space needed to accommodate two primary functions; creative thinking, play, and experimentation for those developing lessons and an enclosure for recording and hosting online sessions. A diagonal line in the plan, demarcates the soundproof zone from the larger multi-function space. All furniture including the large monitor and pinboard screens are mobile and height adjustable allowing easy rearrangement. Most surfaces can be written on. The project evokes a sense of being in the ‘cloud’ and offers a spatial imagining of new fluid ways of working.
