The project is an undergraduate and student focussed development of study rooms and large classrooms that have ta flexibility of configuration. Stacking wall panels allow the space to open into one large exam venue. The medical campus is constrained and lacks open ‘green’ space. The project is constructed as a lightweight structure on an existing roof and frames the existing patch of outdoor space into a courtyard. The framing is reinforced by cantilevered balconies and a glazed concourse with views of the Johannesburg skyline.
